    Notes:




    Bertha Olive Gramm, was previusly married to William Starbach. They had a
    son, Richard who was raised as a Shaner. Evidently she divorced him or he
    died. Richard was rasied as a Shaner and found out his name was Starbach when
    he applied for his birth certificate to enter the U.S. Coast Guard in WW II.
    If he was adopted there is now way to find out. Before he was 65, he legally
    changed his name to Shaner.
