He was Justice of the Peace in Charlestown, RI in May 1838.
He wasan Ensign in the 1st Light Infantry Co. in the 2ndRegiment of the Rhode IslandMilitia in May 1829.
He was the Public Notary in Charlestown, RI in 1838.

He was a Justice of the Peace in Charlestown, RI 1791-1797 &1800-1827.

1 NOTE She stated in a deposition given 2 Jan 1837 as widow of NathanTaylor, for her husband's back Rev. War Pension, that she was Ae88. She never received this pension (amounting to $900) as thecase wasn't settled until after her death.
The money was sent to her son, Job Taylor.
In that same deposition she gaveher exact date of marriage, inCharlestown,
by Peleg Cross, Justice Of The Peace.
