The following obituary is probably for Lathrop Sr's son. The year of birth seems to make him too young to marry Sally Foster, who was born in 1813 and if Lathrop Sr., who married Sally, was really 40-50 in 1830, then he almost seems too old to be the father of the individual shown below, too.

In King George's War, Noah was a drummer engaged in the attack on Lanisburg. He was killed in the highway, while returning from the pasture to which he had just driven his cows. A band of Indians, making a raid on the town, fired 4 or 5 shots at Noah, wounding him in the arm. He ran some distance, but was overtaken, tomahawked and scalped, the savages cutting off part of his skull in their haste.
