Edgar J.Rozhon of Libertyville Services for Edgar J.Rozhon, 88, will be held at 10:30 a.m.Saturday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W.Park Ave.,Libertyville. Born June 13, 1910, in Jackson, Minn., he died Wednesday, Sept.16, 1998, at Evanston Hospital.Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. He was raised in Chicago and moved to Ingleside in 1936. In 1940, he moved to Libertyville and opened the family business, Liberty Liquors, which was sold in 1964. He later was employed as the liquor manager for Walgreens in Mount Prospect, Gold Eagle Liquors in Libertyville and during retirement delivered bakery goods for Bernhardt's Bakery in Libertyville. He wasa member of St.Joseph Parish in Libertyville and a longtime member of the Libertyville Community Club. Surviving are his sons, Raymond (Jenny) Rozhon of Libertyville and George (Leah) Rozhon of Fox River Grove; grandchildren, Rae Ann Rozhon of Denver, Colo.,Denise (Duncan) Ashurst of Winnetka, Patrick (Michele) Rozhon of Crystal Lake, Christopher Rozhon of Fox River Grove, and Shirley, Carl, Bjorn and Nels (Gina) Rozhon all of Libertyville; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Emma Rozhon; wife, Elizabeth `Betty' Rozhon on Dec.10, 1994; and brothers, Marvin and Raymond. In Czech, the "S" has a ^ character above it, causing it to be pronounced SH Unknown if they actually went to Wisconsin, but they are listed in Merchants 1871 Chicago Census Report living at 111 Catherine (which later became 15th Street).
