    Shaker Heights — Richard Revock, who built homes in Cleveland’s eastern suburbs and traveled to more than 200 countries, died Thursday at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

    OBIT: The 76-year-old Shaker Heights resident constructed homes in Shaker Heights, Pepper Pike and Gates Mills that were designed by his architect-wife, Mary Rita Immormino-Revock. The couple also developed Flora Drive in Bedford, where they built 80 homes.

    OBIT: The Revocks, who had no children, belonged to the Travelers Century Club. Members must have traveled to at least 100 countries. Revock took cruises to Indonesia, Central America and the Antarctic. He met Mother Theresa at her mission house in Calcutta, India. He climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in East Africa.

    OBIT: He continued traveling after becoming ill with heart and kidney problems three years ago. On his last trip, he sailed the Amazon River. He underwent heart surgery a few months ago and was on dialysis. He planned to take a Caribbean dialysis-at-sea cruise in December. Revock, whose first name was Eugene, was the youngest of 13 children born to a family in Connellsville, Pa. He grew up on the West Side of Cleveland. He served with the Army of occupation in Germany following World War II.

    OBIT: The professional home builder constructed an aviary on his property next to a three-tiered fountain for migrating birds. He built trellises in his rose garden and vineyard. He raised grapes and tomatoes, which he converted into wine and tomato sauce.

    OBIT: Surviving with his wife are sisters, Rose Mianowski of Parma and Rita Kuczek of Brunswick. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 19000 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights.
