Various descriptions of Walter have appeard in print ranging from aheight of six feed to 6'6" and in weight from 200 to 300 pounds. Walterarrived in Charlestown, Massachusetts abt 1631 the wife of Governor JohnWinthrop (Margaret). If his birth date is correct he would have been 48when he married Rebecca.
on 15 July 1653 Walter and his family moved to the house inStonington, Connecticut.

Rebecca Short came in the year 1632 and was probably a young personwhose parent died on the voyage to America. She married Walter Palmer agodly man of the Charlestown Currch.
