    Notes from Rochelle Schmitz Morton:

    Verna died at her residence at Roosevelt Dr. #32, Northfield, MN from lukemia. Emanuel and Verna farmed and then he trucked milk and livestock. After his death, Verna sold the farm near Hwy 35 and moved into Northfield. On June 15, 1996 she married Eldon H. "Shorty" Dorn. They had been friends for many years.

    Notes from Rochelle Schmitz Morton:

    Amy and Leslie farmed in the Dundas, MN area and also owned cabins there, which Amy was in charge of. Each cabin was named after a bird. They also lived in Astin and St. Paul. Leslie worked in the shipyards in Vancouver, WA during WWII. On her 100th birthday, she refused to take the phone call from the President, but he did send her a card.
