just four months after the birth of Dominga.

This generation understood the native dialect a little, but could not speak
it. The dialect of El Carrizo was "Mexicano". But by this time, they spoke only
Spanish.

Juliana was of Spanish descent, and arrived in Mexico during the revolution of
1910-1911, which eventually overthrew Spanish rule.
Her first husband, Nicanor EMIGDIO, fought in the Revolution, and was killed on
the beaches of Oaxaca.
Juliana then married Nicanor's brother, Jorge.
