- Sylvester Ruet BRADLEY b. 1 Mar 1827, Stratford Township, Coos County, New Hampshire,u.S.a; d. 21 Jul 1878, Fort Wayne, Indiana; bur. Jul 1878.
Notes:
Residence 1869, 33 Michigan Centre Rd., Jackson, Michigan
Residence 1873, PageAve, near Elm Ave, Jackson, Michigan. Eye
s black, hair black. Contracted malaria in the Civil War.
He served in the Union forces in the Civil War and contracted ma
laria in Mississippi. A Sylvester B. Bradley was born 1 Mar 182
7 in Coos, Stratford Twn, New Hampshire, no parents wre given
. (I don't havethe source of this. IGI) Since B and R are sim
ilar, this might be the sameperson. I searched the actual cert
ificate, no parents were given on it. Ifthis is the same perso
n, then it would also solve the problem of why he couldn't decid
e where he was born: Vermon or New Hampshire. Stratford lies o
n the border between them. There is also one born about the sam
e time in NY from film 2034422, and a possible one from Vermon o
n film 0184291 in 1826.

Notes:
Her death record give NY as her place of birth. Her father's pl
ace of residence was given as NY, her mother's as Ct. She is su
pposed to have been descended from a nephew of George Washington
, but so far have found no traces of this. It may be that her d
escent from Gen. Joseph Spencer got mixed up with this.
