    Levi Grant was a lumber dealer. He went West in 1835 and took upland in what is now the town of Bristol, Wisconsin, then NorthwestTerritory. In 1857 he moved to Kenosha, when both he and his wife died.He was at one time in the State Legislature and was General of theMilitia.
