buried in the WRIGHT family plot, NOTthe Sweet family plot.
Also visited the home she had built at 428 Main St. Itis still there,
2001, owned by George Monser, who tells me that he had purchased it from
the estate of Dr. Leroy House in 1968. Dr. House bought the house from
Judge Grant, who had bought it from Grandma and Grandpa. Dad had stopped
up several years ago and visited, at which time Mr. Monser gave him the
photo of the house taken in the 50's(?)/ He stated that the oak tree Dad
hadplanted by the garage as a child is now huge. I took new photos.

    Went to Westminister College,Pennsylvania
Farmed in Delaware Co., NY, near Milford/Milford Center - farm at
    Goodyear Lake
He was a Sheriff of Otsego Co. for 3 years in the early 1930's.
According to Grandma Sweet (his daughter), he was so grossly overweight
that in order for him to be weighed by the doctor, he had to use the
scales at the feed store. [I am not sure if my recollection on this is
correct. It may have been her Grandfather William Southworth, Madaline's
father, who was soobese. Which may be the reason he died so young. I
remember her saying thathe (whichever one it was,) dropped dead
    suddenly. D.Sweet]

Mayflower Passengers, a total of six so far:
    1) John ALDEN

The ALDEN - MULLINS line comes tous through the SOUTHWORTHS.

it is a double line, secondly through Dimmis Gates's father Stephen
Gates, also a Rev. War Vet, who married Esther Fuller, a dau. of John

of birth, as the info given for her father's name says: Wm. A. Southworth
    - but the Southworth iscrossed out and Hanor is written in. Other info
shows her father to have been Augustus Hanor. Also shows mother's name as
ANNA Snyder, not Hannah, as itshows on her death cert.

    Notes:
Research and source notes: Deborah Sweet -
    1) 4/11/2001 - NYS Dept of Health,Albany does not have marriage record
for Ida Hanor and James W. Southworth, date range 1/1/1881 -
12/31/1881[Albany has no earlier records, I need to write next, the Town
    and County Clerks]
I may resend under just William Southworth, as they didn't find any
James William record and resent for that under William. Though his dod is
1883, so may be no record anyway, under either name.If one turns up
under William, then I'll resend for marriage under William, although I
wonder if they didn't cross check before under Ida's name.

Place of Death: Town of Milford at Portlandville [there are two small
categories which areillegible, one may be asking length of residence,
looks like it says '10 yrsor more' ]
Date and Hour of Death: 16 April 1887, at about 1 am.; Joels? Jack?
Thosna?, M.D. of Portlandville, NY, signed 4/17/1887, certifies he
attended deceased from December 1885 to April 1887, last seen 4/15/1887,
died on 4/17/1887 about 1:00 am.; Chief and determining Cause of Death:
Disease of the heart, 10 year duration, and Lungs, 6 year or more
duration, of long standing.; No burial information is given on the
document - permit, date, place, undertaker unknown. [My guess is that he
was buried by the third day, so I enteredthat as date of burial. Also
that he was probably buried in Portlandville, as his wife Louisa was
shown to have been buried there, although Cemetery nameis unknown. Her
undertaker was A. Cronk of Milford. Since she died only three years
later, it may be that it is the same one who took care of Martin.]
