Elias H. Baldwin served in theCivil War. He was a private from the State of CT- Arm Service: Infantry Regiment16, Company K. Regiment captured at Plymouth, NC 20 April 1864. Held at Andersonville (Prisoner of War) Code # 42484

Harriet was put in a institution at the end of her life, per family information. Unknown when or where she died. Was stated her spouse Elias was abusive andviolent to her, and their children. At least two sons ran away from home, to Oregon to flee their father. Harriet was said to have come from a wealthy family in high society. She wore fur coats, or wraps all her life.
