That is exciting!!! I've had absolutely no luck in finding anything about Hattie (Calvin's oldest daughter, Harriet Bell Hook, supposedly born 19 Aug 1872 in Wisconsin) except she was on the 1880 census, in that book I included in Calvin's notes, and an in-law on the McLaughlin side (Calvin's wife)had her on a family tree. Even a researcher in Iowa couldn't locate a thing about her in any of the books he had - I had posted on a mailing list and he responded.

Well, I think I may be back in the groove with genealogy activities.
The president of our club wanted old valentines for a case we have for
displays. I got out my boxes of old post cards and found some. Also
found lots of old pictures, etc. One picture is labeled as father (this
would be Charles Hook because it is in Mabel Hook Peterson's handwriting
and I recognize his picture), Aunt Allie who must be Alice Hook Gray,
Paul (who must be Paul Gray) and two of Hattie Hook's daughters. In
parentheses it says Uncle Calvin's granddaughters. Who is Hattie
married to? It must be a son of Calvin.
