In Czech, the "S" has a ^ character above it, causing it to be pronounced SH Unknown if they actually went to Wisconsin, but they are listed in Merchants 1871 Chicago Census Report living at 111 Catherine (which later became 15th Street). Hi! I was wondering if you have any additional information on the Phillip KOSIBA who married into your family. My Great-grandfather's name was Albert (Wojciech) KOSIBA b.~1885 and settled in the Cleveland, Ohio area. I believe that he may have had a brother in Chicago. Albert's family was Polish and his mother's name may have been Victoria. His wife's name was Catherine ZYGMUND.
Any information you may have on the KOSIBAs would be welcome. Thanks for any help you can provide! -Janet
