She was of Swansee, MA. She was born probably born 1 JUN 1721 and possibly the daughter of John and Susanna (Case) Lake. Her brother James Lake came to Beekman. Barnard and Elsie Carpenter had two children born in Swansea and they later removed to the Dover area of the Beekman Patent. Barner Carpenter was taxed in Beekman from 1759 through 1762 | Alse LAKE

Hannah came to America with her family (her sister Martha and her widowed mother, Margaret Lake) in the ship "Abigail", arriving October 6, 1635, after a passage of ten weeks. Also on the ship was Hannah's aunt (her mother's sister), Elizabeth (Read) Winthrop, the new wife of Governor John Winthrop, Jr. A son was left in England who never cam to America.

I can't unravel the relationship between Sophia and the Pavlik's. She lists Joseph as her brother, but her mother (Audrey aka Aurelia) was listed as having been married to a John Lakusz (actually WAKUS) and I can find no marriage for Audrey/Aurelia and Peter Pavlik. Therefore, I am listing her as being the guardian (not legally as far as I know) of the Pavlik's until such time as some link can be found between her mother and Peter. In retrospect, this guardianship makes no sense since Sophia's mother died 15 years AFTER Sophia died.
