OBIT: Journal-News of Hamilton, Ohio. Maude Guthrie, age 86, of Hamilton, died on Monday, March 31, 2003, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born in Viper, Kentucky, on June 7, 1916, she was the daughter of Pete and Laura (Caudill) Browning. In 1970, Maude married Orville Guthrie. Orville preceded her in death in 1998. Maude was employed by Ft. Hamilton Hospital as a nurse’s aide for twenty-one years retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her children, Ruth Rowekamp and her husband Harold of Connersville, Indiana, Mollie Rozhon of Dayton, Ohio, Polly Lauterbach and her husband Jack W. of Dayton, Ohio, Eva Madden of Hazard, Kentucky, Ralph Feltner and his wife Paralee of Hazard, Kentucky, Adam Feltner of Hamilton, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Wilmur Browning and his wife Bessie of Lexington, Kentucky; sisters, Vera Cottrell of Richmond, Virginia, Kathleen Pigman of Lexington, Ohio, Ruth Himes and her husband Bob of Fort Meyers, Florida; sister-in-law, Mary Rose Browning of London, Kentucky; special friends, John and Billie Radford. Maude was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shelby Jean Combs; son, Clarence Feltner; brother, Elmer Browning; and sisters, Beulah Campbell, Marie Deveraux and Alma Williams.
Funeral Services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D†Street, Hamilton, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2003. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. | Maude BROWNING

Isaac Brownson wasa veteran of the Revolutionary War. His wife was Joanah (Beardslee)Brownson.
