"Daniel Cone being captured when Cromwell defeated the Royalist at theBattle of Dunbar, 1650, and then deported as a captured prisoner to theMass. colony. I think records now state that Ambrose Bennent of the Isleof Wight County of Virginia indentured David Cone some 20 years beforeDaniel Cone being captured when Cromwell defeated the Royalists. Moreso, a Neile McKone was also listed on the same proclamation of prisonersto be deported. The oral Cone/Kelsey family lore reported the The familywas'banished from England' for supporting the House of Stuart for thethrone of England. The story related that the whole shipload werebanished families sent to the colonies. The Kelsey's were early settlersand Puritans who came fro religious freedom with the Thomas Hooker,Braintree group, so it may relate to the Cone/Spenser family. | Daniel CONE, (Mackhoe)

In the 1850 U.S. Federal Census, Henry Frank Geer, the 14-year oldbrother of Lydia Geer, was living with Perry Congdon and his family inNorth Stonington.
He died at the home of his daughter, Mary E. (Congdon) Palmer, inVoluntown, CT on 25 Mar 1910, At 91 yrs, 1 mo, 18 days. The cause ofdeath listed on the death certificate was "general paralysis of thebraian", an illness he had suffered for three years. (In modern medicallanguage, this would have been described today as some sort of a stroke.)

1) Martin Southworth Bible:
Births: Lydia L. Southworth Born Oct. 29. 1857
Death: originally recorded on Deathspage: Mrs. Orin Southworth Died
March 19, 1917
recorded second, different hand, on Births page: Lydia L.
Southworth died Mar. 19, 1917
Also in the Bible was a loose piece of paper upon which is written
the names of Orrin & Lydia's children, middle initials included, their
dob's and two notations:
a. "Father died January 28, 1885, 68 years 11 months and 5 days"
b. " James Converse of Oaksville was my mothers, mothers Brother."
a. could only have been written by Lydia. ibid for the
childrens' info.
For b., I need to trace the Converse family back, but I think
it was written by a different person, a grandaughter of Lydia's in
reference to Lydia having a brother James, which is whereI am placing
him for the time being. | Lydia L. CONVERSE
