Chasing down Hancocks who lived in Wrentham Massachusetts in the 1700s. Joseph Hancock b. 1740 was my gggg grandfather. He moved to Maine in the late 1700s.

I typed in my grandmothers name and found this site. It is good to see the list of our family My grandmother was a Brainard

I was looking up my grandmother Louisa Poole Hatch from Utah, I know we are related to Senator Orrin Hatch and she died around 1924. She married my grandfather Nick Sermos. He came over from Athens Greece at age 17 and they met and married, settled in a now extinct Castlegate Utah, coal mining town. She was in a car accident, injured her back and died within 2 years after the accident. She gave birth to my father, Gus Nick Sermos and her daughter Helen Sermos.

What a wonderful site this is, alot of hard work within to it. I am researching surnames Hlad, Vlcek, Madej, Pijor families.
