SS#443-01-8031 issued OK Sand Springs, OK Obit; Sand Springs Leader, Sunday December 9, 1984 Services for John Henry Hobaugh, 102, a pioneer Sand Springs resident, were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bill Weaver officiating. Mr. Hobaugh died Tuesday in a Tulsa Hospital. He was born May 31, 1882, in Lamar, MO, and moved to Sand Springs in 1912 from Tulsa. A veteran railroad worker, Mr. Hobaugh also was a Hinderliter Tool Co. employee for 31 years. When he first moved to Sand Springs, he helped his father build the city's first hotel. He was a memberof First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his daughter, Chloe Henry ofSand Springs; two sons, Clyde Hobaugh of Sand Springs and Claude Hobaugh of Sulphur, LA; four grandchildren and five g-grandchildren. Burial was in WoodlandCemetery with arrangements by Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
