  First name may have been Malinda or Mathilda. Last name also spelled as Tony. Her grave is in Hanna/Carbon, WY. In an undated letter from Oliver Harold Bacon, he tells Randy Everette that the William & Matilda Poe family was moving to California. However, enroute Matilda died and they discontinued the trip and remained in Wyoming. She was buried in an unmarked grave as the family was afraid Indians may have desecrated the body. Many feel there is Indian blood in this branch of the family as some of Matilda's children have a definite Indian look to them. This is apparently from Matilda's side as no known Indian blood is on William's side.
