C.W.Bell A correspondent of R. A. Pohe claimed John Poe married Betsey Amens,
Columbiana Co., OH, 22 Jun 1815; died c1831. Betsey married (2) Daniel Bushong, 14 Jun 1832.
29-6 1812 06 Jul John Poe volunteered for service with the Ohio Militia at New Lisbon, OH.
1813 05 Jan He served in CPT Rowland's Company as a private until he was musterd out. He was ill at that time.
1815 23 Jun John Poe was married to Betsey Amens by C. Valladingham, the same Presbyterian minister who married Sarah Poe and Adam Kuffle in 1811.
Deed 1817 14 Feb John Poe patented land, 3-14-26, in Columbiana Co., OH. Deed 3p367.
Deed 1817 20 Oct John Poe and Elizabeth, his wife, sold 3-14-26 to Thomas Poe for $240.

1820 03 Jun John Poe agreed to support Adam and Elizabeth Poe for the remainder of their lives. In return, Adam's 60 acres in Congress, Wayne Co., OH were to have been deeded to John. Andrew Poe was the executor of this contract. (This contract was never enacted.)
1826 A John Poe settled in District 5, Center T., near Lisbon, prior to 1826.
1831 John Poe died.
1951 Daisy Poe Pratt did list a John Poe among Adam's and Elizabeth's children. She gave no more information.
