  Birth year may be 1787 or 1791. 1-3,88 1791 15 Jul Sarah "Sally" Poe was born to Adam and Elizabeth Poe. ? 1793 15 Jul Sarah Poe gave this date as her DOB. 99 1809 This ref. has Sarah marry Adam on this date. 2,78 1811 18 Jun Sarah Poe married Adam Kuffle at her father's home in Columbiana Co., OH. 50-13 1811 18 Jun Adam Koffle was married to Sarah Poe by Clement Vallandigham at the home of her father, Adam Poe - the great Indian fighter. See Columbiana Co., Ohio Marriages, Book 1p105. Two spellings of Adam's name used at times: Koffle or Kuffle. Carol W. Bell Has Sarah (Poe) Kuffle die at Congress, Wayne Co., OH, 14 Mar 1868. Speculaltion? 16-2 1889 This article gave 1889 as Sarah (Poe) Kuffle's DOD. It did list all 12 of her children in their correct order. 16-2 1939 Sally (Poe) Kuffle claimed that Adam Poe was married twice. He had, by his first marriage in PA, one daughter born. His daughter by his first marriage was Barbara who married a Mr. Cochran of PA. Adam's second marriage was to Betsey Matthews, widow of William Cochran. Betsey was an immigrant from Ireland. She came to this country when she was 12, the sister of a Presbyterian minister named William Matthews. Sally claimed that his brother, Andrew, born 1742, was six years older than Adam. 21-1 1951 Daisy (Poe) Pratt listed Sally's children but omitted Wesley Kuffle -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------ 119 Sarah "Sally" (Poe) Kuffle was Joy (Doke) Pashley's great-great-grandmother. Sally was an older sister of David Williamson Poe, my great-great-great-grandfather.
