    • 1. Nancy Poe's birthplace is Ohio, but several of children on 1880 census say Tennessee as their mother's birth place, others said Ohio. Nancy on the 1870 census says Ohio; on the 1880 census Mississippi (MS).

      2. ( on the 1870 census, John G. Patterson lived within a few houses of his sister Louisa (married Buchanan)family, Pleasant Beckett who his sister Mary Ann married as a 2nd marriage 3 years later, Nancy Patterson (Poe) his mother age 60, bir- Ohio, brother John W. Patterson family, sister Mary A (married Rairden) family.

      3. 1870 census, Marion, St. Francois, Missouri, p659:
      Nancy Patterson, widow, 60, bir- Ohio.

      4. 1880 census, Marion, St. Francois, Missouri, p 432:
      Nancy PATTERSON Self W Female W 72 MS Oldage --- ---
      ( Nancy is living next door to grandson Alexander Rariden and his wife Sarah. Alexander is Nancy's dau, Mary Ann's child with her 1st marriage to Theodore Rairden - name spelled Rariden & Rairden).
