      Know all men by these presents: That we, the subscribers, being the o
      nly surviving heirs of our sister Lydia CHAPMAN, late of East Hadda
      m decd., according to the statue of this Colony as it is explained i
      n page 330 of our Law, do, with the approbation of his Honr., the Gou
      ernourand Judges of the Court of Probate for the County of Hartford
      , agree that the land andmoveable estate that did belong to our decea
      sed sister aforesd. shall be divided equally according to the qualit
      y thereof into five parts, and that the children of our sister Elizab
      eth CHALKER, late of Saybrook decd., shall hold, possess and enjoy 1-
      5 part to them, their heirs and assigns forever,and the rest to be h
      eld by us the sd. subscribers in equal proportion. And in confirmatio
      n of the written agreement we have hereunto sett out hands and seal
      s this 7th day of November, Annoque Dom. 1738, and the 12th year of H
      isMajestie's reign.
