- Osterville Historical Society Museum
The Museum also owns two of the rare "hawk nest" half models, one in thehalf model room and one in the Herbert Crosby Shop. The hawk nest formwas used by boat builders for a brief period of time in the late 18th andearly 19th century. The Museum believes that the two on display probablycame from the Oliver Hinckley Yard, which was located at the end of BayStreet in Osterville at the same time these models were built. OliverHinckley built coastal schooners at the Bay Street location.
