    • Obituary from the Elkhart Truth, November 01, 1995, Pg B2:
      ELKHART - Friends of Raymond H Barhydt, 57, of 57981 C.R. 13 S., may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be at 2pm Friday. The Rev. James Murphy of Christian Center in South Bend will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery. Mr Barhydt died at 9pm Monday (Oct 30, 1995) at home after an extended illness. He was born June 30 1938, in Elkhart, and married Ruth A Oberlin on May 3 1959, in Elkhart. She survives with one son, Edward R Barhydt of Elkhart; three daughters, Robin Welker of Seymour, and Rhonda Gerald and Brenda Barhydt, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs Thomas H (Barbara) Kindig and Mrs Don (Phyllis) McHugh, both of Elkhart. Mr Barhydt had worked for 22 years at Bock Products, where he was a welder, and then for four years at Voyager Inc. in Elkhart. He was a member of the Christian Center in South Bend and a veteran of the US Army. Memorials may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or the Elkhart Community Hospice Inc.
