Notes |
- OBIT: CIELEC, SOPHIE : Wife of Peter (Obit.).Plain Dealer 14 Feb, 1979, pg. 05 sec
MARRIAGE: Possible marriage:
CIELEC, SOPHIE and JACUBY, RUSSELL 0118 0132 52
CIELEC, SOPHIE and JACUBY, RUSSELL 0123 0063
MARRIAGE:
Russell either married this Sophie, her niece, Sophie, or a totally unrelated individual.
If Sophie and Russell were married, it appears that the couple may have divorced by 1925 when another property transfer takes place by virtue of Sheriff Fred Kohler in which her name is shown as Sofia Cielec. I'm not sure if this was a scam perpetrated by Russell to obtain her property or a legitimate situation. It just seems odd in light of what I've seen in other deed transfers upon death. Also mentioned in this deed was Teofil Barski who used to live and operate a saloon on Jennings Ave.
RESIDENCES:
1920 - 3746 Jennings Ave.(her name is spelled here as CIGLAC -- between the C and the I is what looks like an H that has been blotted out with ink. Heritage Quest interpreted it as CUGLAC ). This location is next door to Teofil Barski. Living with Sophie are her 5 children. She works as a cleaner in some sort of building that is unreadable on the census.
