Notes |
- Peter Cielec bought some property on Storer Ave around 1919. He must have died in the following year because in 1921 the executor of his estate is Russell Jacuby and he is transferring the property to Zofia Jacuby, who is the heir and probably Peter's wife who has by then remarried. May be the same fellow I have listed as Phillip since Phillip was listed in the 1920 census living on Redman. Also, Phillip is not a name that a Polish family would have used in that time period. Then again, his name could be Felix.
~Ok, things are not making much sense. I looked a little closer at the property record and it states that Peter died 28 Sep 1921. The date of the deed is 02 Dec 1921. It hardly seems reasonable to think that his widow remarried within only 2 months. If it weren't for the 1925 deed where she goes back to using the name Cielec, I'd think there was no connection at all. So using logic here, it seems that if a woman was going to give up her married name, due possibly to a divorce, she'd return to her maiden name and not a previous married name. So that would suggest that Zofia was more likely Peter's sister.
Possible Death record: CAHLEK, Peter Death date: 1/22/1921, Cuyahoga County Volume #3478, Certificate #1605
