• Notes

  In the 1840 census, there is a Joseph Williams in the next dwelling from Ebenezer Foster and his wife, Almira Williams. By 1850, Joanna Williams (age 67) is in the next dwelling along with Leonard Pixley (age 15). I thought the relationship would be that Joanna is Leonard's aunt's (Almira) sister-in-law but that doesn't seem right. Is Joanna, Joseph's sister-in-law? Some other relative? MARRIAGE: Married to Matilda Fish by Orin Gilmore. Orin Gilmore owned land in the vicinity and was a minister. Jos. B was married to Ann Johnson by Rev J McEldowny. He was a Methodist from the time he turned 20 to his death.
