Sarah-4 Pendleton (Caleb-3), was baptized 23 July 1693, atStonington, Conn.; we have no record of her death. She married SethLanphere, son of George Lanphere. He probably died about 1726, and shesurvived him as late as 4 June 1746, when she gave Benoni Smith a receiptfor her legacy in her father's will (Westerly C.& P. rec., iii, 330). Inthis will her father referred to her as "Being Weak and Low." While only one of Sarah's children, Elizabeth, appears upon theWesterly vital records, the Council and Probate records of the towncontain the names of eight others who were bound out to various people asfollows, the first five whose ages are given appearing in the Book for1719-1731, at pages 163-4, under date of the 30th August 1725; whileElisha's age appears in the same book at page 234 -- record made 23February 1729/30.
