  • Notes
    • Birth place unknown -- not on death certificate in my possession, however, his wife was born in Zebrakov and they were married in Bohemia, so it's possible that he might be from Zebrakov, as well.

NOTE: IRAD website lists a couple with these same names as having married on 09/09/1889 in Cook County, Illinois. Are these the same people or a different Joseph and Mary? Or did they really get married in Bohemia? Did they just renew their vows in 1889? Their first child, Anna, was born Jan 1889, fully 9 months before they married. This information seems suspect to me.

IMMIGRATION: Arrived in US - 1888.

      1900 - Carpenter (per 1900 census)
      1910 - Bartender in a Saloon (per 1910 census)

Date of birth differs from what the 1900 census provided (ie. Dec 1866). Death Certificate shows 10 Mar 1865. This is probably more accurate than the census since anyone in the household could provide the data and may have given the wrong info.
