Ch: Amos, Jr., b. c. 1738, md Elizabeth Kellogg, 1765, New Salem He and his brother Samuel were selling New Salem land in Salem in 1742, but may not have come here to live until 1752. He was Lietuant of a company of New Salem men sent to the frontier in 1757 during siege of fort William Henry. He had 2 poles in 1759 assessment and a large estate. He lived here for the rest of his life on First #34. He was an original proprietor.
