  I remember my granddad with always wonderful memories.I was young when he pastaway but he was always happy,and would sing "oh Danny Boy" We lived with him when we were younger mom helped take care of him when he got sick.He loved to listen to the Grand ole Opry,he sure would be amazed to know we have been there.and how close I live to it,maybe that was already decided by him for me to movethis close and marry someone in the south,and I am the only one who did that.Ican remember my dad carrying him up steps to our place so he could watch his beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions play.He loved to play baseball and did play foryears and we learned to run bases at a young age since our job was to run beerto the players,he even would coach from his wheel chair.Whenever I hear Danny Boy i think of him,Gramps would be so proud to know my Grandson Erich he is sucha Lions fan.I bet he had something to do with that.Love Connie
