      DELPHI -- Sylvia V. Harris Rozhon, 77, of 2689 S. Carroll County Road 585 W., died at 7:06 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. She had been admitted earlier in the day, and had resided at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi for the past six years.
      Born Feb. 17, 1929, in Luxola, Miss., to the late James and Sean Henley Harris, she attended high school in Mississippi and Arkansas.
      Her marriage was to William J. Rozhon in Delphi on Oct. 26, 1974, and he survives.
      Mrs. Rozhon worked for the former Essex and SAYCO factories in Flora and the former Bryant Manufacturing in Monticello.
      She was a member of the Radnor United Methodist Church who enjoyed gardening, crocheting and fishing.
      Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Peggy Jones (husband: Charles) of Mohawk, Tenn., and Patsy Yerkes (husband: Larry Joe) of Camden; a son, James H. Harris of Delphi; two stepdaughters, Rita Ann Rozhon of Lafayette and Debra Sue Rozhon of Miami, Fla.; three brothers, Richard Harris (wife: Bernadean) of Haleyville, Ala., James Harris (wife: Sue) of Flora and John Harris (wife: Jan) of Monticello; and three sisters, Ruby Harris of Bringhurst, Edna Marcum of Haleyville and Jeweldean McMahan of Haleyville.
      Also surviving are a grandson, John W. Perkins, Chicago; a great granddaughter, Cheyenne Ashley Perkins, Lafayette; and a stepgranddaughter, Jessica Crook. Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shelia; 1 sister and 1 brother.
      Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Wednesday at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi, the Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Interment Zion Citizens Cemetery in rural Carroll County. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
