  OBIT: SHIRLEY J. KERNS (nee Fitch); wife of the late Ralph C.; daughter of John and Dolores (both deceased); sister to Beverly A. Halen, and Audrey S. Shella; "Mom" to Michael J. (Tomoko), and Leanne Elson; "Weenie" to Timothy Elson; "Grammie" to Michelle and Tomomi Kerns; stepmother to William R. and Kevin R. She devoted many happy hours after retirement from Matrix Essentials to her resident birds and animal friends at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and will be missed by many, including those with paws and claws. Friends may call at A. NOSEK & SONS, GERBER-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKS-VILLE RD., SUNDAY, SEPT. 25 FROM 2-6 P.M. with a PRAYER SERVICE AT 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions requested by family to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Medina Raptor Center or Seasons of Life Hospice.
