      SOUTH GRISWOLD - The reporter attended the wedding nuptials ofRepresentative Stiles Curtis Ecclestone and Miss Nellie May Miner, onSunday, at Ashwillet. The ceremony took place at the residence of thebrides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cortland P. Miner, and was beautifullyimpressively performed by Rev. C. Grant Savage, in the presence ofinvited guests, mostly immediate relatives of the family. After the amost bountiful repast was served to the happy company.
      A hack from Norwich, Ct. conveyed the newly wedded pair to theAshwillet chapel, and there they listened to a masterly and scholarlysermon delivered by Rev. Mr. Savage. At the close of the service at thechapel, Mr. and Mrs. Ecclestone started for Norwich, and Monday went toNew York city, where they will stop for several days. They will return byway of Hartford. Our most hearty congratulations are extended to thenewly wedded couple. Long life and prosperity.

      No. 1 -- Commencing at northeast corner of the premises where theold Blacksmith Shop formerly stood, thence southerly by and with thehighway til it comes to land now or formerly woned by Alfred Miner,thence westerly by wall adjoining land now or formerly woned by AlfredMiner til it comes to the ten care pasture, so-called, formerly belongingto Thomas P. Wattles, thence westerly by and with said wall on the northside of said 10 acres pasture til it comes to the highway at thesouthwest corner of the 2.5 acre lot, so-called, thence liner, thencenorthwely by land formerly owned by said Miner and land formerly owned byRobert Wheeler and land formerly owned by Peter Toach and highway til itcomes to the first mentioned bound, and contains by estimation 95 acres,more or less, being the same premises conveyed by deed from Thomas P.Wattles to Daniel H. Frink, now deceased, of date jan. 23, 1855, Vol. 7,page 474.
      No. 2 -- 14 acres commencing on the road leading from the PhilpsHouse, so-called, to Milltown where said Miner's land and land of SusanM. W. Hull, wife of Will B. Hull, joins, thence running north easterly byand with the wall as it now stands to the corner of said wall that itencloses said field about 8.5 rods till it comes to the north line of the20 acres lot sold by Latham Hull to T. P. Wattles and C. G. sisson as perdeed dated Apr. 4, 1836, thence by and with viz, North 78 E by and withland formerly owned by William B. Hull and wife, Susan M. W. Hull, untilit comes to a mearstone, thence southerly to a mearstone standing onanother side of wall adjoining land formerly owned by William d. Miner,thence southerly and westerly by land formerly owned by William d. Minerto highway, thence northerly by highway to the first mentioned bound, itbeing part of the 20 acre lot before referred to which I purchased ofCharles G. Sisson and siad Sisson purchased of said L. Hull, being thesame premises convayed by deed from Alfred Miner to Dainel N. Frink ofdate Sept. 1, 1862, Vol. 8, page 537, excerting thereform this secondtract an acrea and one tenth of land sold by Daniel H. Frink to theNorwich and Westerly Railway Co. of date Dec. 23, 1905, Vol. 15, pages 16and 17, being the sames two parcels of land devised and bequeathed toEllen E. Whipple by and under the will of Daniel H. Frink.

Maine and a brook flowing into Main's Lake, so-called, andwesterly and northerly by lands of the said grantee and Main's Lakeexcepting therefrom the small plat of land known as the AshwillettCemetery.
      Lot No. 2 - Bounded northerly by the Pendleton Hill Road, easterlyby land of William Eccleston, southerly by said Eccleston land, andwesterly by said Mystic to Jewett City highway.
      Lot No. 3 - Bounded southerly by the said Pendleton Hill Road,easterly by land of Jefferson Henry, northerly by lands of the heirs ofLucius Kinney, Billings Pond, so-called, and land of the heirs of GardnerGreen and land of the heirs of Freeman Pierce and land of Ida L. Randall,bounded westerly by said Mystic to Jewett City Highway, northerly andwesterly by a lot of land situated at the corner of two highwaysmentioned herein.
      Said 3 tracts of land containing in all about 500 acres, more orless, and meaning and conveying herewith the rights of reversion of theland on which the Ashwillett Chapel stood and the land on which theAshwillett School house now stands.
