BREED FAMILY RECORDS, page 102. Here are stones for two of sons of Capt. John, Jr., Samuel(1765-1827) and Roswell (1776-1844) and for the two wives of Samuel,Eunice Allyn and Mary Sheffield, and the two wives of Rosewell, SarahAnn Hancox and Priscilla Chesebrough. The names of three of Samuel's children are on the stones: Samuelwho died in 1827, shortly before he did, at the age of 36, and twodaughters by his second wife; Eunice A., who died in 1854 at the age of45, and Harriet B. who died in 1849 at the age of 42. He died May 9,1827, and his widow died Nov. 7, 1848 at 84. He and his 1st and 2nd wifesare buried in the old Breed Burial Ground in Stonington.
