  BRIAN PENDLETON AND HIS DESCENDANTS, 1599-1910, Compiled by Everett HallPendleton, Privatley Printed MCMX, found in the DAR Library, Washington,DC. Page 1-77. He was the father of nineteen children, seventeen of whom becameheads of families of their own. In 1771, Ebenezer with all his familyexcept two daughters, removed to Westmoreland, NH, where he becameprominent in civil and religious affairs and an ardent supporter of thecause of the Colonies against the mother country. He was a member of theContinental Congress in 1777 and 1778. Several of his sons served in theRevolutionary War, one of them as Major of a NH regiment.
