Brown was in the War of 1812, and respondedto the call for the defence of Stonington Aug. 9 and 10, 1814, in theThird Company -- Jesse Breed, Captain; William Frink, Lieutenant; DudleyBrown (205), Ensign. Company consisted of forty men, officers andprivates. For his service he received a United States land warrant of 160acres of land. Children born in North Stonington, Conn.
