    • BIRTH: In a letter written by his daughter, Lydia, his death is metioned as having occured on 24 May 1851 when he was 90 years old, so based on that information we can estimate his birth as having occurred about 1761.

      In a letter from 1851, Lydia (Stanton) Spicer writes: ".... my dear aged father departed this life on the 24th of May, without a sigh a groan or struggle...."
      John Stanton's date and time of death were provided in a letter from Lydia (Stanton) Spicer to the children of the her newly deceased sister, Joanna (Stanton) Fish.
