      He was a Civil War Veteran in Co. A, 51st Missouri Infantry as a Private.

      THE MAIN TREE II, Second Edition, by Nancy (Portor) Childress, 1995. page226.
      Corbley was in the Civil War in the infantry and was also in MontantVolunteers in 1865. While on duty in the Army, he was thrown from a horseand broke a leg. Corbley became an alcholic and was treated at theSoldiers Home in St. Joseph, Montana. He received a pension for hisservice 22 Sep 1914 - 22 days before he died.
