      OBIT: MILLARD T. KIRK, 68, PASTOR OF NEWBURY TWP. CHURCH

      OBIT: The Rev. Millard T. Kirk, who founded People's Full Gospel Mission in Newbury Township in 1972, owned Kirk Sales and Service Inc., also in Newbury.

      OBIT: Rev. Kirk, 68, died Wednesday at Geauga Hospital. He had cancer.

      OBIT: Rev. Kirk, who retired as pastor a few years ago, started the People's Full Gospel Mission church in the Kiwanis Lake Community Hall. The congregation later bought a building in the Kiwanis Lake area of Newbury Township, razed the structure and built a church on the foundation of the old building.

      OBIT: Rev. Kirk had worked as a foreman at HPL Manufacturing Co. in Solon for 34 years.

      OBIT: He served in the Army during World War II and was a charter member of Newbury Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1068, where he served as chaplain.

      OBIT: He also was a member of the Newbury Volunteer Fire Department.

      OBIT: He was born in Dille, W.Va., and had lived in Newbury Township for 43 years.

      OBIT: Survivors include his wife, B. Ruth; daughters, Connie Czacherski of Parkman Township and Shawn Strumbly of Windsor; son, Allen W. of Painesville; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister; and a brother.

      OBIT: Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the People's Full Gospel Mission, View and Beechwood drives, Kiwanis Lake area, Newbury Township.

      OBIT: Memorial contributions may be made to the Newbury Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 255, Newbury Township, Ohio 44065, or Newbury VFW Post 1068, P.O. Box 535, Newbury Township, Ohio 44065.

      OBIT: Arrangements are being handled by the Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home in Chester Township.
