Mr. Main is a Democrat, and both attend the Congregational Church.He conducts the largest store of its kind in Livingston, Montana, havingmoved there April 1887, from New York State, where he had been proprietorof a store at Burlington Flats, also at Springfield, NY. On Jan. 28,1910, Mr. Main started westward for a trip around the world. Leaving SanFrancisco, California Feb. 5, 1910, he halted at Honolulu; then visitedYokohama, Japan, Hong Kong, Canton, Manilla, Philippine Islands; thenceto Borneo, Java, Singapore, Rangoon, Calcutta, Island of Ceylon, and thento Bombay. He sojourned in Egypt, crossed the Mediterranean Sea toNaples, Italy, the to Florence, Rome, and Venice; crossing Austria,witnessed the Passion Play, crossed Germany, and sailed from Hamburg toNew York.
