      Howard Abner began to learn printing in the Westerly Daily Sunoffice. He is now in 1906, a compositor on the Providence Journal andBulletin.
      He received first instruction in printing from Gov. George H. Utter,then editor and proprietor. He was later with the Providence Journal andBulletin, and now, for the past eight years, compositor on the BostonGlobe. He is a mamber of the International Typographical Union; PastChancellor Horace Greely Lodge, K.P. [First lodge in the world to meetexclusively in the afternoon. Composed of newspaper men on the Bostonmorning papers. Known as "Daylight Lodge."] Member of the Boston GlobeRelief Society and of the Franklin Typographical Society.
