Since 1904 has been on the Board ofAlderman, keeping posted on municipal matters, and gaining a clearinsight into how the city business has been done -- and, to his mind, howit had been overdone and undone. At the municipal election Oct. 1, 1906, he was chosen against strongDemocratic oppoistion, the Republican mayor of New London.
