  • Notes
    • IMMIGRATION:
Arrived Sep 25, 1909 aboard the SS AMERIKA at Ellis Island, age 34. Destination was a friend Franz Krokuski of 2104 Denison Ave., Cleveland, Ohio. Is this really the same Anthony? As noted below, there already was an Anthony Kapusta living on Denison as early as 1900. The manifest lists Anthony's wife as Antonina, living in Kielkow, Poland.

      RESIDENCES:
1900: Denison Ave., Cleveland, Ohio (Boarding with the Albert Barys family -- spelled as Burriss in 1900 census)
1911: 1246 Redman Ave., Cleveland, Ohio (This address noted on his death certificate by his son Rudolph, however, there is no 1246 Redman. His brother, Ludwig, owned a house at 1226 Redman -- perhaps that is where Anthony had been living. Alternatively, the addressing may have changed early on. This same address was also used on the ship manifest listing his wife and children's arrival in the U.S. in 1911.)

      DEATH:
Appendicitis -- died at City Hospital

      OBIT:
Name: Kapusta, Antonius Date: 1911 Source: Cemetery record; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #043. Notes: 1875-1911. Calvary Cemetery Cleveland, O.

      BURIAL:
      Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
