    • HEADSTONE, (FEERER-RURAL-BLACK-PIONEER CEMETERY (Also called Ziegler) Thecemetery card at the Tippecanoe County Historical Society (TCHS) confirmsthis information. Headstone of same style as that of Billings.
      Sarah Ann Babcock, wife of Billings Babcock, died Aug. 20, 1843, at age46 y, 2 mo.

      BABCOCK, SARAH ANN (Sherman), Wife of Billings Babcock. d. Aug 1, 1843.
      Obit notice in the Tippecanoe Co. Courier, Vol. #3, No. 6, page 3, col.1.
      Reportedly consort of Billings Babcock, however, reference to a marriageof Aug. 18, 1812 in Bridgewater Twp., Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania hasbeen found in records of a Wyoming Co., Pennsylvania pastor. Top of stonewas broken off and located adjacent to Billings Babcock headstone. Sarahwas 46 y and 2 mo. old when she died.
