Headstone of same style as that of Billings. Sarah Ann Babcock, wife of Billings Babcock, died Aug. 20, 1843, at age46 y, 2 mo. FEERER-RURAL-BLACK-PIONEER CEMETERY (Also called Ziegler) BABCOCK, SARAH ANN (Sherman), Wife of Billings Babcock. d. Aug 1, 1843. Obit notice in the Tippecanoe Co. Courier, Vol. #3, No. 6, page 3, col.1. Reportedly consort of Billings Babcock, however, reference to a marriageof Aug. 18, 1812 in Bridgewater Twp., Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania hasbeen found in records of a Wyoming Co., Pennsylvania pastor. Top of stonewas broken off and located adjacent to Billings Babcock headstone. Sarahwas 46 y and 2 mo. old when she died.
