  Mary Rogness's - Grandmother Edna Sorensen Yerington, 82, formerly of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Parkview Manor in Wellman following a lengthy illness. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial will be in the West Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Edna Sorensen Yerington Memorial Fund. Mrs. Yerington was born March 5, 1918, in Waterloo to Otto and Kirstina (Overbeck) Sorensen. She attended school in Harlan. She married Marvin Yerington on July 25, 1935, in Cedar County. The couple lived in the West Branch and Iowa City areas. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Erma and Robert Wolf and Pat and Ray Fetters, all of Iowa City; three sons, Rod Yerington of Cedar Rapids, Tal Yerington and his wife, Sue, of Burbank, Calif., and Mike Yerington of Cedar Rapids; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Poffenberger and her husband, Verle, of Claussen, Minn.; and one brother, Raymond Sorensen of Portsmouth, Va.
