      Mrs. Elva Pond Yerington, 82, died at 6:10 a.m. today in Muscatine General Hospital.
      She had lived at 1013 Cypress street until Aug. 15, when she entered the Hershey Convalescent home.
      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the George M. Wittich funeral home. Friends may call there after noon Tuesday.
      Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
      Mrs. Yerington had been a Muscatine resident since 1928. She was married to Earl Yerington on April 25 of that year in Muscatine. The daughter of Thomas and
      Laura Pond Hiestand, she was born June 21, 1884, in Ogle county, Illinois. She lived in that state before coming here. She was a member of First Methodist church.

      Surviving are three stepsons, Albert, and Guy Yerington, Muscatine, and Floyd Yerington, Fort Wayne, Ind.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Ivan (Violet) Spicer, Palo.
      Mrs. Fred (Goldie) Mittan, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. James (Edit) Twohig, Springfield, Mass. 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Her husband and a
      sister are deceased.
