I am still alive not dead as your records indicate and would like you to correct your records. My brithday is April 24 1915. And one more thing. My Mother did not marry again. She was only married to JOHN STRENK. ANN STRENK TEL423@SBCGLOBAL.NET ~Obsolete notes: Children shown for the couple of Mary Ras and John Strenk may be those of a prior wife of John's. We are not certain when Mary Ras married John, but he was shown in the 1920 census living in a four family house in which 5 of Mary's siblings lived. In that census, he is shown with a wife named Mary. Whether that is this Mary or another is unknown for the time being. It's been said that she was originally married to a Joseph Nowak and had 6 children whom the Ras family refer to as cousins named Nowak. They don't refer to any cousins named Strenk. Also, Mary's sibling's obituaries (dated after 1959) all refer to her as Mary Strenk which suggests that if she did have two marriages, the latter one would have been to John Strenk. Property records also only refer to her as Mary Strenk up until the time she died. 1930 census for 1302 Redman Ave., Cleveland, Ohio (her brother Albert was also living at this address in 1930). The census shows that she is a widow named Mary Nowak. (I think these are two different Marys. One is probably Mary Wojnarowski) RESIDENCES: 1930 census shows Mary SHTRENK and children, Steffie, Henry, Sophie, and Anna living at 1409 Botany Ave. OBIT: STRENK, MARY ANNA : Wife of late John (Obit.).Plain Dealer 07 Aug, 1977, pg. 11 sec. 2 MARY ANNA STRENK (nee Rash), beloved wife of the late John, dear mother of Stephanie, Henry, Sophie, Anne Sobolewski and the late Joseph, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister of Walburga Sliwa, Albert Rash and the late John Rash, Sophie Zastawny, Bernice Sliwa and Jacob Rash. Funeral services Monday, Aug. 8 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Barbara's Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at THE TOMON & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 4772 PEARL RD., SUNDAY 2-5 AND 7-9 P.M.
